Explanation (?):

The COM+ System Application service is the service through which the COM+ Event System works through. Normally the COM+ event system is always running and calls upon the system application service for particular tasks. For understanding the COM+ Event System please read the information pertaining to it. Since this service is so important it is very important that you do not disable it. Doing so may cause your computer to not function as it should. Many programs use this service, especially Microsoft based Internet services such as IIS or ASP. You should leave this service set to manual. If you would like to speed your computer up for COM+ events then setting this to automatic would do so at the cost of a small amount of RAM. Setting this to automatic is generally a very good idea on servers.
